I'm Ryan, owner and operator of Wizard Sounds. I am a native Texan and have been working and playing music in Austin since 2012. I host recording sessions for all musicians in a professional studio setting, working proficiently with Pro Tools, Logic, and Ableton. My ultimate goal is to create and equip people with the music that makes them happy. I have been in the field for over 10 years and have gained extensive knowledge by working with artists or recording, editing, and doing media recovery/digital transcription. I have been a musician myself since childhood. I am an adept audio engineer with a degree in Applied Music Business, Performance & Technology.

Expertise in Restoration
Accomplished audio engineer with a vast array of experience in Hi-Fi restoration and skill-set obtained through employment with professional retailers in addition to knowledge accumulated through hands-on experience and secondary education. Highest proficiency in creating quality restoration, understanding of historical and current protocols in regards to audio equipment and its counterparts, with great respect for the end production. Experience in servicing modern and vintage audio gear, both vacuum tube and solid state such as: amplifiers, pre-amplifiers, radio tuners, graphic equalizers, turntables, speakers, receivers, headphones, 4 track recorders, reel-to-reel machines and building/repairing all types of audio cables. Proficient with using a multi-meter to diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment then replacing capacitors, transistors, and various components on circuit boards with a soldering iron in a very neat and clean fashion.
